The Ride Of Silence, a world-wide, third-Wednesday-in-May, a silent group bicycle ride to commemorate bicyclists killed or injured while riding and urging everyone, cyclists and motorists, to “share the road”, will be reformatted in 2020 due to the virus pandemic.

With the date for the ride coming up, May 20, the Ride Of Silence international board has decided to change the format for this year’s ride. Instead of group rides they are recommending each site to encourage their participants to do solo rides or with their household members. The national Ride of Silence international organizers are working on plans to allow participants to easily report these rides and link them together through an easy-to-use platform. Obviously, these rides should be held in accordance to rules and guidelines set by local and state authorities.
