Ride Of Silence

Wednesday, May 16, 7pm

Recreation Park, 1015 North Congress Street

The Ride of Silence is meant to commemorate bicyclists killed or injured while riding and part of a world-wide event urging everyone, cyclists and motorists, to “share the road”. The event has a ride length of 9 miles at a relaxed pace taking approximately one hour. Wear a black armband, or if you have been hit while riding, a red armband. Also the Ann Arbor Bicycle Touring Society will have a limited supply of recently laundered “Ride Of Silence” t-shirts that cyclists can borrow for the ride (but must be returned at the end of the ride to use next year).

Cosponsored by Bike Ypsi, the Ann Arbor Bicycle Touring Society (www.aabts.org) and the Program To Educate All Cyclists (www.bikeprogram.org). For more information, including a route map, visit www.bbwypsi.org and click on the ROS button.
